Yunnanguide gathers authors of travel guides and books about chinese culture, managers of guesthouses and travel agencies, expatriate and local tourist guides, students, researchers, hikers, photographers as well as other men and women from China and abroad with various professions and activities, who share a common passion for a vast geographical and cultural area whose centre of gravity would be the chinese province of Yunnan.

The goal of this network is not to make money but to promote the discovery of attractive areas, offering a diversity of ethnic groups and landscapes which may have no equivalent at the dawn of the 21st century.

We hope that any potential traveller, whether he/she only moves in thought like Jules Verne, in the flesh and spirituality as Alexandra David Néel, as a modest tourist taking on exoticism or a experienced hiker making of the whole earth only one path, would find on this site helpful information and links for his/her personal research.
